A Note of Reflection from our Executive Director

For over 29 years, the Grand Foundation has focused on supporting the Grand County Community. Even with this mission nothing could have prepared us for what happened on October 21st, 2020 with the East Troublesome Fire. Within hours, the fire destroyed a large percentage of our community’s landscape. The outpouring of generosity from around the community, state, and nation filled our shattered hearts with hope and love.

We were and continue to be amazed by the human spirit to give, to care and to support one another. It is how we knew we could get through, rebuild, and survive this tragedy.

We will be stronger, braver, and kinder as a result of it.
