Apply for a Grant
The Grand Foundation announces its grant cycles each year. Notices are provided via the local newspapers and personal contact with nonprofit organizations. Once the specific deadline is established, agencies must request a copy of the current grant application and guidelines. Applications are generally available 6-8 weeks prior to the grant deadline. Grant applications are not automatically mailed to organizations that are past funding recipients. It is the responsibility of the organization to request the current documents. The Foundation will not participate in any political campaign on behalf of any issue or candidate. Late and/or incomplete applications ARE NOT accepted.
The Grand Foundation Board of Directors determines final approval of grants. The Grand Foundation regularly receives grant requests which exceed the availability of funds and cannot fund all requests. However, all requests that meet the funding guidelines of the Foundation are given full consideration by the board.
Please read your application carefully and follow all directions! The 2010 application has some new guidelines and requirements.
In addition to the original copy of the application, organizations must also include:
* 14 copies of the application * 14 copies of the Organization Summary Page * No staples * All pages pre-3-hole punched
