Grand County Council on Aging

We all enjoy living a life where we can make our own choices and do what we want, when we want. As we grow older that becomes increasingly difficult due to physical, mental and/or financial challenges. It is especially difficult when one lives in a rural community with much fewer services than those available in urban areas.

Grand Foundation Helps Us Make A Difference for Our Seniors

Grand County Council on Aging (GCCA) was established as a non-profit organization in 1972 to meet the needs of vulnerable area seniors and adults with disabilities and assist them in maintaining their independence. Our goal is to provide access to healthcare & nutrition via transportation services, encourage participation in social, recreational, and educational activities and be a conduit for resources available to make their life a little easier. In partnership with the Grand Foundation, GCCA has been able to help hundreds and hundreds of Grand County seniors and adults with disabilities live independently in the county they love. In the past 10 years, GCCA has been granted $78,000 from the Grand Foundation in generous support of our programs. This community collaboration literally means the world to many and we are forever grateful for the kind assistance.
